ITINERARIES
5 DAY ANZAC DAY TOUR: 23rd April - 27th April
 HIGHLIGHTS:

DAY 1: Wednesday 23rd April – Check in – Welcome Meeting
Check into your city centre hotel and be greeted by your PP Rep through out the day. This evening we will meet for a welcome briefing where we will go over itineraries and the tour and meet our local Turkish guide and fellow travellers. After the briefing we then have the opportunity to experience the nightlife that Istanbul has to offer.
DAY 2: Thursday 24th April – Check in - Departure to Gallipoli
6.30am We depart for Gallipoli early, stopping along the way so you can have some lunch before our arrival at the cove. On the tour to ANZAC Cove you learn of the fate of over 10,000 Australians and New Zealanders. We visit the memorial sites at ANZAC Cove, Lone Pine and Chunuk Bair as a priority as well as Shrapnel Valley, Conkbay Hill, The Nek and the 57th and their cemeteries if time permits. We then tour the Kabatepe Museum and orientation centre (although this may occur at the start of the tour).
DAY 3: Friday 25th April – Dawn Service – Return to Istanbul
4.30am and this special day starts very early for the dawn service.
After the Dawn Service you are free to attend the Australian Memorial Service at Lone Pine and the New Zealand Memorial Service at Chunuk Bair. We then drive back to Istanbul late evening where we will check into our hotel. Then you are free to hit the many bars in Istanbul and reminisce with new found friends on the ANZAC services.
DAY 4: Saturday 26th April - Istanbul City Tour
After breakfast we will take you on a guided tour of Istanbul and introduce you to some of the many special sights that the city has to offer. Included in the tour will be the Hippodrome, Blue Mosque and Underground Cistern. We will also have the opportunity to visit a traditional carpet shop. The afternoon will be free time so why not try a Turkish Bath or perhaps head to the Grand Bazaar.
This is our last evening together and provides a great chance to consolidate friendships.
Tonight we offer an optional Turkish cabaret with entertainment acts aplenty and the most beautiful belly dancers you will ever see. There is a couple of drinks included plus about four or five courses of food. Cost is £30pp and it is highly recommended.
DAY 5: Sunday 27th April – Istanbul – Tour Ends
Check out of our hotel after breakfast and make your own onward transport arrangements.
If you are staying on in Istanbul we can also arrange for you to go on the 3 hour Bosphorus cruise in the afternoon cost is £15.
